Creating your Base Card

Cut your plain card down to 7 x 9 ½ inches.
From the 7 inch point, score across at 3 ½ inches.
From the 9 ½ inch point, score down at 3 ½ inches.
With a pencil, mark on the 9 ½ inch point across at 3 ½ inches.
Slide down and mark with a pencil at 6 inches on both sides on the 9 ½ side.
Diagonally, using a ruler, match up the points at 3 ½ inches and 6 inches and carefully score with your score tool – repeat on the opposite side.

Fold and burnish all your score lines.
At the diamond point, fold as a mountain fold.
At the now topper base, fold as a valley fold.
The card will now fold naturally into it’s diamond top shape easily.
Reinforce all fold lines with your bone folder.

Matting and Layering

Topper base mat 3 ¼ inches – black
Middle layer 3 inches – green striped sheet from the Bloom G45 paper pad
Top layer 2 ¾ inches – all over flower sheet from the Bloom G45 paper pad
Inside and Front – base layer 3 ¼ inches by 5 inches – black
Middle layer 3 inches – green striped sheet from G45 paper pad

Top layer 2 ¾ inches – all over flower sheet from the Bloom G45 paper pad

Top Tip: To ensure that you have the top of your layers the correct shape and size, cut your piece longer than you need and place your next layer on top, move the paper slightly up at the bottom and cut the excess off.  Place on top of your layer and you will have an even border all around.  Repeat for all layers.
Gently add Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn distress ink to all the papers and chipboard embellishments to tone down any white edges.
Complete your card by adding co-ordinating pearls.
