Materials to cut:

Cream cotton fabric or ready-made banner

Everything else:

Cricut Maker™ with rotary blade

Cricut Fabric Grip Mat

Circuit Standard Grip Machine Mat

Cricut EasyPress™

Cricut EasyPress™ mat

Ribbon

Weeder tool

Cricut BrightPad™ (optional)

Preparation:

Open Cricut Design Space™ and search the Ready-to-Make projects library by choosing ‘Iron-On’ from the first drop down menu and typing ‘celebrate’ in the search bar.

Open the ‘Celebrate Banner’ project. If you want to alter the project, select ‘Customise’, then use the tools in the Edit panel to make changes before you cut. If not, click ‘Make’ to send your project to the Maker to cut.

Alternatively, in a blank canvas within Design Space, insert image #M3D0B5 (banner) and resize to 4.5” x 7” or 11.4cm x 17.8cm. Duplicate xx times. Insert image #M4CFFE (flourish) and resize to fit the banner. Duplicate so you have two and flip one of them so you have one flourish for each end of the banner.

Choose ‘Chalkboard Fonts – Extended’ from the font menu and type the word ‘celebrate’. Resize to fit the banner and then ungroup to letters.

Cut:

Be sure to mirror the image when using iron-on and place the shiny side (clear liner) onto the mat.

Cut glitter letters and flourishes, and fabric banner.

Assemble:

Use a weeder tool to remove the negative pieces of iron-on so just your design remains on the clear liner.

Apply the iron-on layers to your fabric banner using a Cricut EasyPress and EasyPress mat. Use the interactive guide for the perfect time and temperature settings: https://cricut.com/en_us/heatguide
