Here at Hochanda we know that a craft room is a special place. It’s where you’re at your most creative and where you bring your ideas to life. Many of you will have a craft room at home or perhaps just an area where you keep your crafts. Whatever space you craft in, it’s important that it gives you the same enjoyment that your favourite crafts do.

We all know what it’s like when you go to get what you need only to find it’s either dropped out, spilt out or it’s not where it should be! Tucked away in a box or a drawer you’ve completely forgotten about it. But it doesn’t have to be that way. A little bit of forward planning now will help you get the most out of it.

Here’s a few simple ideas to help organise your craft room.

Use door space to your advantage

This set of 2 hanging fabric organisers  can be put on the back of your craft room door for added organisation. They have 20 pockets per organiser and are the perfect size to store items you’ve had in the bottom of drawers, such as ribbons, cards and papers. The organisers come with a hook attached making it easy to attach to the door and move should you decide to set up elsewhere in the house. Click here to view on our website.

Storage with a twist

There are a number of storage solutions that are perfect to use in organising your craft room. We were recently joined by Kay and Maggie from CoolKatzCrafts to show us their latest amazing selection. Transform your workspace

Having enough space on your craft desk or central work station is often a challenge. The Avon Crafters Table Easel with drawer & palette makes ideal use of it’s space. Ideal for desktop crafting of every kind it was originally designed for artists and calligraphers. The easel can accommodate canvases up to 9.6″ (24.5cm) in height, but can also serve as a useful place to hold papers and card during project. Click here to find out more.

Use clear jars for storage

Clear jars can make excellent storage space for small objects like pens, pencils, buttons, and other supplies. As a result these Indigoblu 10 x 25ml Handy Little Jars are ideal to keep small samples of inks, paints and  much more. They can also add instant colour to your craft room, doubling as decoration on shelves.
