The Silhouette Cameo Plus is a digital cutting tool that features the latest state-of-the-art technology. Its dual-motor system gives you more power, speed and efficiency combined with a wider size machine that’s still a perfect desktop solution.
It features all the fantastic functions of the Cameo 4, but with lots of added benefits we know you’ll love. To give you an indication of why we think it’s a step up, we’ve picked out some of key differences and benefits of the Cameo Plus.
A bigger cutting footprint
The Cameo Plus is able to accommodate rolled materials up to 15 inches wide. This gives it a much larger cutting footprint. A wider machine means craft makers can, 1. Cut wider materials, 2. Cut more designs at once and 3. Cut larger designs all in one go.
It also allows you to cut thicker materials such as fabric and card without the need for a stabiliser backing or a cutting mat. Take a look at this short demonstration to see for yourself.
Built-in Features
Another key feature of the Cameo Plus is that has a built in roll feeder. This allows you cut and roll materials simpler than ever, a real advantage when working on larger projects! The roll feeder slides out from a tray located underneath the machine and folds out. It can hold 9-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch rolls (with a maximum roll diameter of 3 inches). This means you can cut straight from a roll, without a mat and without any length limitations.
The crosscutter is house at the back of the machine. Once you’ve cut your material, you just unlock the crosscutter and slide the crosscutter blade along the track of the crosscutter cartridge.
Pop Out Cut Mode
As with the Cameo 4, you can now cut materials like paper and cardstock without a cutting mat. The ‘Pop out cut mode’ feature on the Cameo plus makes a cut in the material you’re using, but keeps it in place using perforation cuts. After the material is removed from the Cameo Plus, you can just pop the cut design from the material.
Connect online
The Cameo Plus has a Bluetooth® adapter pre-installed and is Bluetooth® compatible. This gives you the option of receiving cutting jobs via Bluetooth and wireless communication.
Compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems, the Cameo plus utilises Silhouette Studio®, the dynamic software behind any Silhouette cutting machine. With access to the Silhouette Design Store, you’ll have over 150,000 designs to choose from.
