In this month’s very special edition of Guest Showcase, we are having a chat with Studio Light about what they have been up to during lockdown, their top Hochanda highlights and their exciting plans for their upcoming 41st birthday event on Hochanda!
How did Studio Light get started?
41 years ago, Studio Light started as a small printing company. 15 years later, we started producing rubber stamps. After that, there was more demand for hobby materials and that is shortly how Studio Light started.
What do we have to look forward to seeing during the big birthday event on Hochanda?
We have three lovely collections during our birthday event. The first is a beautiful collection we’ve made with Louise, called: ‘Just Lou – Aviation Collection’. There is also a collection we’ve made with Marlene, full of products with Arabian elements, they are called: ‘Art by Marlene – Artsy Arabia’ and ‘Art by Marlene – Essentials’, which contains, among other things, two very nice watercolour sets.
What have been your Hochanda highlights?
Our Hochanda highlights have been the Grunge collections and the collections with our ladies: Louise, Marlene and Jenine!
Do you have any fun stories of live TV moments?
Lou was recently on Hochanda with Leonie, and they were trying to remember about stalagmites and stalactites. Lou said she remembers by saying ‘tites come down, lights go up’ and they went on like this for a while. However, when Leonie was ending the show, instead of saying ‘right, remember ladies, it’s tites down’, she said ‘ok ladies, remember it’s knickers down’! They were in hysterics!
What have been Studio Light’s proudest moments?
We are always very proud when we develop a new product or collection. After all those years it is still a pleasure to see when ideas start to get real. We are very proud of the whole team at Studio Light!
