Create some eye-catching festive wall art using Cricut Vinyl, the Holographic Rose Bubbles and Crystals Vinyls to give a stunning effect that will reflect light to add Christmas sparkle wherever you hang it!
Step 1
To start, add the image ‘Let’s get jolly’ into your Cricut Design Space canvas and resize the image to fit your frame. Next duplicate the image and change the colour, you now have two different coloured layers of the same image.
Step 2
Next prepare your vinyl. Load the first colour of vinyl onto a standard grip mat and secure in place using your brayer tool. Next select the type of vinyl you are using as the material you are cutting.
Step 3
Load the mat into the machine and cut. Once cut repeat the process with the second colour of vinyl. Weed away all of the excess vinyl around your image, using your weeding tool to pick away the small pieces.
Step 4
Now, apply Transfer Tape to the vinyl that will be the top layer. Put the transfer tape on top of the vinyl decal and scrape with a scraper tool, then slowly remove the backing sheet by rolling it back on itself. You should now have your decal stuck to the Transfer Tape. Apply this piece of Transfer Tape over the top of the second layer of vinyl, lining up the images so that the second layer create a shadow effect underneath the first layer.
Step 5
Apply the vinyl to your pink cardstock by sticking down and carefully rolling back the Transfer Tape, try to peel it back as flat as you can. To finish burnish the vinyl with the scraper tool to make sure that it is well stuck down, then pop inside the frame.
