Preparation:

Locate the Butterfly Hair Bow project in Cricut Design Space and click ‘Make It’.

Cut:
Place the pink fabric on the mat, right side down. Load the mat into the machine and click the Cricut Go button to cut the fabric.

Assemble:
Familiarise yourself with the pieces of the project. With right sides together, pin the two large butterfly wing pieces together.

Sew with a ¼” (6mm) seam around the edge of the large wing pieces, leaving a 1-2” (2.5 cm -5.1 cm) opening for turning in the middle curved areas so it’s covered later.

Clip all curves generously.

Using a chopstick or turning tool, turn the wing pieces right side out through the turning hole.

Repeat these steps with the bottom wing pieces.

Press both pieces, taking care to tuck turning hole fabric under. Top stitch or hand stitch closed if desired.

Fold the rectangular piece in half lengthwise right sides together, and stitch across the short side and up the long side. Leave top short side open for turning.

Clip corners and turn right side out with turning tool. Press.

Tuck the small wing pieces behind the large wing piece, about halfway down so that they overlap just on the bottom of the large wing piece.

Pinch in the middle narrow portion and wrap the rectangular piece around the pinched portion and pin.

Hand stitch the rectangular piece together with the raw edge tucked under the turned portion.

Hot glue gun or stitch the hair band to the back of the bow to finish.
