Shrink plastic is a wonderful medium to use, enabling you to resize the larger elements, making them the perfect size to use on either ATC’s or smaller cards and projects.
ATC’S are a great way to display memories of family and friends, a wonderful way to use your photos. It’s easy to add extra interest and embellishments, most importantly getting them off your mobile phone, and onto a coffee or side table, making it easy to share and chat about memories.
If you’re new to mixed media or just fancy dipping your toe in, then ATC’s offer a wonderful way to start. The size is a lot less daunting than a larger project, enabling you to use off cuts and elements that are not suitable for the larger pieces. You really will be surprised just how many elements, extra details and interest you can add to such a small surface. I love to add stitching and small pieces of fabrics that are just to small for anything else, it gives super texture and dimension to your art work.
They are a great way of keeping a reminder of your larger cards and projects. You might recognise this from the card I shared a few days ago in my last Hochanda Blog Post.
The last one for now. Here is another mini representation of a card I have made for my launch show. Making backgrounds for my mini art is a real favourite of mine. Either making larger pieces to cut down to size or even better, using excess inks and paints from my mat directly onto ATC size card.
