When it comes to paper crafting, there are so many techniques and ways to have fun with colour, in this tutorial from Clever Prints, written by Emma Blake, we’ll be creating a beautiful card cover and art piece. With Clever Prints birthday coming up, what better time for an inspirational tutorial from them!?

Take It Away Emma!
Step 1
To start, I cut my card to a5 in size and stencilled at random (3 areas) using a brush with yellow ink. I then took the every cloud stencilled and added some clouds and hearts at random slightly over lapping the yellow ink.
Step 2
I then took my textured stamp set and added at random some of the doff textures at random over and around the stencilled areas
Step 3
I then took another piece of card and stamped out the Sarah stamp and painted her with watercolours, while doing her hair (bubbles) try dropping in a couple of colours while your paint is still damp you will get a brilliant blend.
Step 4
Once dry I added back in the details with the white and black pens and then fussy cut her out.
Step 5
I then took the flower stamps and stamped them out on another piece of card and painted them then once dry I fussy cut some of the larger flowers out.
Step 6
I then glued Sarah onto the background card as my first layer and then used the flowers to build up around the bottom of the stamped image and high lighted them with the white gel pen.
Step 7
To finish I added a sentiment from the love and be happy stamp set from line one and added some darker shadows around Sarah and the flowers. I them mounted the knife onto black card to make it all pop.
To make this card or journal page I have used the new line from clever prints (release date 12th Jan 2021) called Boho Babes. I really wanted to share just how easy it is to use them and build up something fab in not many steps. I would like to take the time to wish a huge happy 6th birthday to clever prints, its has been a fabulous year for us since joining the Hochanda family and we have gone from strength to strength and I for one have had a fantastic time.
