Creating Your Card!

Step 1

I am starting with a 5×8 card blank. To add a bit of interest, stamp using a dotty stamp. Top Tip: Don’t be too quick when you are stamping. We need to put a bit of pressure on the stamp but we also need to allow time for the ink to transfer from the stamp to the paper. Uneven stamping can often be a result of rushing the process.

Step 2

I then take some papers from Toadstool Tots and Curious Wonders Paper Pad. Tear long strips and adhere to the left-hand side of the card. Then, take one of the toppers, before sticking it down I edge it in black. This helps to frame around the focal piece and bring the eye in.

Step 3

To add our own unique spin on the project, we can bring in a little more stamping! I have chosen the Harriet Heart Stamp Set to bring in a little more detail. I then use the stitching border stamp to create a frame on the central image. Finally, I stamp some hearts using red ink and add a little doodling just to bring everything together.
