Vintage Memories by Leanne McAlpine

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
Today I’m sharing with you a card I’ve made using the recent one day special from La Blanche. If you’re looking to make a quick card this range is perfect as it is a case of cut and stick. The products are really good quality and right up my street!
This card took me 15 minutes to make…which believe me is unheard of (I’m currently 21/2 hours into a Mother’s Day card and still not finished!).

In addition to the kit I used a lacey die cut, acrylic frame, and flower, lace motifs, stamp and distress ink.
To begin I covered a DL card blank with some patterned paper. I had a scrap lacy die cut so I chopped into this and fixed it to the card front.

Then I cut 3 of the hydrangea toppers from the sheet. I distressed the edges with scissors and inked with tea dye distress ink. This is great for disguising any mistakes you may have made when cutting them out. These were attached to the card as shown along with an off cut of patterned paper.

I then cut one of the lady portraits and again distressed and inked the edges. This was glued centrally to the card.

Once this was attached, I tucked some lace motifs behind. All these images are really easy to cut out and take ink really well.
I highlighted the lady’s face by fixing an acrylic frame over this which I had previously added gilding polish to. I also cut 2 of the postcards from the sheet and crumpled them slightly and tucked them in as shown.

To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment onto cream card and distressed the edges and attached as shown.

These kits are perfect for making quick cards, so if you haven’t tried them have a go. Just by adding a few extras from your stash you can create something quite lovely.
Thanks for popping by
