Freedom Member & Ambassador Amanda Lucas has always enjoyed crafting, and over the years has tried most crafts, with varying levels of success!
After having children, Amanda decided to turn her hobby into a business, making and decorating cakes, cookies and cupcakes for a variety of customers. Several years ago, she discovered papercraft and hasn’t looked back since.
Now, she has put together a wonderful guide to show you how to make those Christmas store gift cards a little bit more special and personalised.
You will need:
Blank card stock
Red liner tape
- Cut out your base card to the size of largest piece. Cut out coordinating papers of choice to the measurements of the four smaller pieces. Score base card at measurements shown.
2. Put a strip of thin red tape onto the short sides and just along the base of the middle section of the base card (make sure you don’t stick the whole thing together or your gift card won’t fit into the holder section). Then fold and stick the card to make a ‘tent’ in the middle of your card.
3. Stick on all the pieces of chosen papers to all sections as shown. At this point, also cut a small section of the ‘tent’ away to form a ‘U’ shape, wide enough to house the gift card.
4. Cut out your chosen sentiment, layer this onto the card wrap, and fold this onto the outside of your card holder, gluing to secure, and making sure the is enough space to allow the wrap to slide on and off freely.
