Tonic Hey Blossom Perfect Posy Card by Tracy Sutton

Hello again everyone, something entirely different from my previous blog. I’ve put the needle and the fabric down to play with my Tonic Perfect Posy dies. Most of my blog cards end up going to good homes. This was actually a commissioned card for a friend’s daughter. Hopefully she will like it. Happy Birthday Sam. Hope you had a lovely day.

You will need:
  • 1 x Tonic Perfect Posy Hey Blossom die set
  • 1 x Tonic essentials oval layering die set
  • 1 x Stamps by Chloe small relative stamp set
  • 1 x 8×8 card blank
  • Tonic Craft Perfect in Fuchsia Pink and Raspberry Pink
  • Silver mirri card
  • Stamping card
  • 1 x Black ink pad of your choice (I’ve used Versafine)
  • 3D foam pads
  • Wet glue or double sided tape
  • Hot glue gun or silicone glue
  • Assorted Craft Buddy floral embellishments
  • Assorted Craft Buddy gems
Stage 1: Using the large outer circle die, die cut in fuchsia pink and emboss to bring out the detail. Stick down on your card slightly off centre vertically. I’ve positioned my card so it is a tent fold card.

Stage 2: Using the raspberry card, and the verso edge of the next layer, cut one circle shape. Take the mirri card and cut the same outline edge. Using the next layer, cut out the detail on your blossom and stick carefully on top of the raspberry layer.  Mount this layer on 3D foam and stick onto the base layer.

Stage 3: Using the fuchsia card, cut the outside verso edge on the next layer and then pass through the machine again using the decorative edge to this layer. Pass through again with the embossing mat. Stick carefully on top of the previous layer.

Stage 4: Using the smallest verso layering, die cut a small blossom layer in mirror card. Cut a further blossom using the same die in raspberry. Using the Hey Blossom greeting, place carefully in the centre of the raspberry card you just stuck and emboss the detail. Stick down carefully on top of the mirri card.

Stage 5: Using the stamping card, stamp the Happy Birthday and cut out using your oval layering dies. Matt onto some fuchsia pink. Decorate with flower embellishments and gems then stick in the inside of the card.

Stage 6: Using the stamping card, stamp Daughter (or any other relative you need) and mat and layer using your oval dies. Decorate with gems as shown.

Stage 7: Add some larger flower gems to the remaining three corners to finish off the card.

Well wasn’t that an easy card. I really love Tonic dies for this. Simple to use and you get just amazing results! Craft Perfect is just amazing card stock to use as well, it’s fabulous and die cuts like a dream. The mirri card I used was from Craft Buddy and also die cuts beautifully as you can see. I really hope you like reading my blogs and ramblings. If you do, why not leave a comment? I’d love to hear from you.
Take care and Keep Crafting!!!
Love Tracy
