Every crafter need their essentials, so Hochanda’s own Paula Pascual is here with her top 5 paper crafting essentials to get your started!
White and black card
I would go for Pink Frog Crafts Matt Black & Super Smooth Unscored Card Blanks – 15x42cm With Envelopes. It comes with envelopes and I love the size. It’s also un-scored so you can create all sorts of size cards as well as mini albums.
Paper Trimmer
A trimmer like Daisy’s Trimmer And Spare Blade Twin Set, which allows you to cut and score card that is up to a3 size or 12×12 inches, makes it perfect to use in combination with the card above.
A folder tool
I love Teflon tools CoolKatzCraft, especially the CoolKatzCraft Ergonomic Teflon Multi-Purpose Craft Tool, the perfect tool to score the card and make sure it looks properly made. It’s one of those tools that elevates from homemade to handmade.
Adhesives
I think there is a right adhesive for every job, however I would say that Oakwood Adhesive Collection – Foam Squares, Finger Lift Tape, Double Sided Tape And Ultra Hi Tack Tape is perfect for beginners but experienced crafters will also be using all the items. You may want some PVA or tacky glue in which case I can recommend Sentimentally Yours Premium PVA Glue Duo – 60ml And 120ml.
Patterned paper
Now here is where your personal taste comes really into play. If you like vintage, you can’t go wrong with Graphic 45. The quality of their products and designs is second to none. If you like more modern and graphic designs Kaiser Craft has stunning lines. If you like some floral and pretty designs with an arty element, Primais fabulous. Plus many of those papers you can get as bundles with embellishments and dimensional elements. Have a look and enjoy!
