Discover Funky Fossil Designs

Funky Fossil are new to the crafting scene, but are a fantastic papercraft business. They began just over a year ago and make their debut with Hochanda on Saturday 4th April at 1pm.

Their range includes high quality stencils, MDF products and clear photopolymer stamps. Perfect for a multitude of uses in card making and paper crafting.

Speaking to use ahead of the show, Sarah Gray told us a bit about her business..

“As a passionate crafter with eclectic taste, I like to work with products that can take me from mixed media projects to clean and simple designs. As well as designing my own products, I am lucky to work with talented designers whose illustrations and graphics make wonderful stamps and stencils for all types of crafter to enjoy!”

To give you a sneak-peek of some of the papercraft designs that will shown during show we’ve picked out some examples below.

Funky Floral Designs & Happy Words

This design uses a gold heat embossed floral cluster, masked off before being inked with the Funky Circles stencil.  It’s finished off with some watercoloured flowers and a sentiment from Happy Words.

The Funky Florals is an A5 set and has a really versatile look to it. However you choose to use it in your papercraft project your eyes will be immediately drawn to the flowers. The next example below shows that with a different placement and change of colours you can achieve equally stunning results.

The background for this car is created by blending distress oxides and lightly inking over their ‘Fierce words stencil’. The image is stamped in black and uses their ‘Butterfly Flurry’ stencil with black paint. Word stickers by Leonie Pujol and a strip of black cardstock at the bottom completes the card.
