Hi everyone, welcome to the Hochanda Blog. I hope you have enjoyed the summer, now Autumn is rapidly approaching. One of my favourite seasons with the trees changing colours to glorious shades of orange, the colder nights when you get to snuggle in bed in the duvet. Thought I’d share with you a project I’ve made using Dawn Bibby’s latest One Day Special. It’s brilliant value for money featuring 262 resin elements with various frames, corners, flowers and other embellishments. Perfect for colouring with alcohol markers, ink, gesso and then Pretty Gets Gritty sprays and a bit of gilding polish, they have a totally different look. For this card, I’ve used them in their natural state, they are really versatile.

Dawn Bibby stencil of your choice
Dawn Bibby quick stick glue
Hot glue gun or silicone gel
Stage One: Take your card blank and mat and layer gold glitter card, gold foil card and a piece of the hand made glitter card.
Stage Two: Die cut the largest circle die in gold foiled card and the next one down in cream double sided shimmer card. Leave the circle in the die and using a stencil of your choice, emboss the circle in your die cutting machine.
Stage Three: Arrange your foilage on the base of the card and add the resin embellishments. Arrange your flowers and stick down.
And it’s as easy as that. A simple way to create dimension to your cards. I have used the resin elements a lot in my samples for the launch of the One Day Special and they look so different if you colour them in different ways. They are brilliant for creating dimension to your work and are light weight enough to be able to use them on cards.
