Hi friends and crafters. Tonight sees the launch of a very exciting One Day Special on Hochanda at 6pm. The extremely popular Dimensional Pop up’s are back for all of your Christmas Creations. It’s jam packed with beautiful accessories and includes all of the dies you need, embossing folders, coordinating stamps and beautiful papers. It works incredibly well with the previous launch and increases the possibilities for you to create amazing designs. Today I am sharing a preview of a card I have made with this collection. It’s a large card made with 2 sheets of A4 card.
You will need:
  • Tree Concept Die
  • Sleigh Concept Die
  • Tree Accessories Pack
  • Sleigh Accessories Paste
  • Sparkling Snowflakes pack 1 & 2
  • Festive Words 1
  • Tree Accessories Clear Stamp Set
  • Sleigh Accessories Clear Stamp Set
  • 12 x 12 Plain cardstock Pad
  • Centura Pearl White with a hint of Silver
  • Sheena Stamping Card
  • Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink
  • Tacky Glue
  • 3D Glue Gel
  • House Concept Die
Step 1: On the wide edge of your A4 card, lightly mark your card at 2”, do not score.
Step 2: Secure a sheet of the dark blue card to this directly on your line. Below the line, secure the light blue cardstock, also cover the second sheet with the light blue.
Step 3: Position and cut your concept dies, using the bottom of your dark blue card for the guide. Score across the card but not over any of the concept parts, gently fold out the house and tree. Secure your second sheet of cardstock about 1” from the base of the house, this will now form your A3 card.
Step 4: Use Chipped Sapphire Distress ink to add some hills. There is a die in the set for cutting hills or you could use torn copier paper for inking.
Step 5: Cut a sheet of A4 card in half length ways and cover with light blue card. When dry, cut 2 x 2” strips the length of the card and score every half inch, again length ways. Burnish well and secure the 2 center sections together using tacky glue, then leave to dry. (This will give you a T-shape and it will give your card extra dimension while still allowing you to fold the card flat.)
Step 6: Decorate your house to look festive. I have used a taller house here; I wont repeat the process. If you would like to see how to do it please see my blog (17 Cherry Tree Lane). All of the accessories are included in this collection.
Step 7: Cut out 3 trees in light and dark green. Stamp the dark green ones using the tree stamp and layer on top of the light green for a drop shadow. Next from white card cut, stamp and colour a selection of the deer and tree snow.
Step 8: Cut out a few of the houses in the collection, colour and secure to your hillsides. Add the snow and stars to your trees.
Step 9: Add the tabs you made in step 5, use the full length at the front. From the second, cut a couple of small sections to add the additional trees.
Step 10: Secure the trees to the smaller tabs.
Step 11: Using Tacky glue, add snow and ice, Flowersoft is brilliant for this. Add the sleigh and deer to the front tab, then use embroidery thread or similar for the reigns.
Step 12: To finish your card, add a selection of snowflakes and a greeting.
