Cricut have put together a very helpful list explaining how to upload your own images into Cricut Design Space. Back to basics has made a welcome return this month, and we’re back with something a little different! To those of you that own a Cricut machine (if not, what are you waiting for? they’re excellent!) this blog is not to be missed.
In Back to Basics, we will have a special guest showing you amazing tutorials, top tips and more! Whether you’re new to crafting or a seasoned crafter, this is a blog that we hope will inspire you to try a brand new craft or try a simple technique you may have forgotten. So, without further ado, here is this month’s Back to Basics!
Step 1
To start, click the cloud shaped upload button, and then upload image. Browse your computer or device for the image you would like to upload and select it. You can upload PNG, JPG, SVG,DXF, GIF and BMP file types.
Step 2
Choose complex from the list of options then click continue.
Step 3
This will bring up a screen that will allow you to clean up your image, If your image has a background you need to remove that. You can do this using the wand or eraser tools. For more advanced multicoloured images, you can use the advanced settings to get a cleaner line.
Step 4
Once you are happy with your image continue to the next screen. Here you can choose to save your image as either a print then cut image (for use with the Print then cut feature on the Explore and Maker) or as a cut image.
You can now add the image to the canvas and use it in your projects.
You can change the title of the image here and add tags too before saving.
The image will now live in your uploaded images section and be searchable within the image library in Design Space.
We hope this Back to Basics has inspired you to pick up and use those incredible Cricut machines! Shop all Cricut products on Hochanda!
