Hi everyone, I can’t believe it is the 1st July and we are already talking about Christmas. Although in the craft world, we could say it’s Christmas all year round. I always start to get excited about this time because all the new Christmas collections start to appear. I thought I’d share a card I’ve made using Dawn Bibby’s brand new “A festive window to Christmas” die set, although you could use dies from this collection all year round.

You will need to create this card:
  • Dawn Bibby Christmas cats die set
  • Dawn Bibby Christmas decorations aperture set
  • Dawn Bibby handmade glitter Christmas paper
  • Black card
  • Gold mirri card
  • Red mirri card
  • Gold glitter card
  • Green glitter card
  • Pearl card
  • Pink pearl card
  • Craft buddy gems
  • Dawn Bibby quick stick glue
  • Pinflair glue
  • Stencil tape
    1. I began by scoring an A4 piece of black card and folded it in half to make an A5 card base.

    2. I then matt and layered a piece of the handmade glitter paper and a piece of the gold mirri card and then glued onto the front of the card base.
    3. I die cut the decorations aperture set (using the two dies, I used stencil tape to secure to the card whilst cutting) in the gold mirri.

    4. I die cut the outside die of the aperture set in the pink patterned paper and glued that underneath the gold mirri (the one I’d cut in the previous step).
    5. I then also die cut the decorations aperture set in red mirri card, gold glitter card and green glitter card.
    6. I cut out the various elements I wanted and used glue gel to place on top of the original die cut image. For the Christmas tree you can also make the tree look 3d by lifting the branches of the tree.

    7. I die cut the Christmas tree ornaments in red mirri card and gold glitter card and glued them onto the Christmas tree.

    8. I added gems to the tree and also the tinsel.
    9. I die cut the cats in black twice and decoupaged them.

    10. I added the die cut collars on the cats in pink.
    11. I also die cut the wool in pink pearl and the fish bones in pearl card and glued them to the card.
    12. I added the “meow” sentiment to the top left corner of the card in gold.

I hope you like this card and step by step, I would love to know what you think.
See you soon
