Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. What an exciting time I have had recently. I was given the opportunity by Craft Buddy to go and help out on the “Crystal Art” stand at the recent Manchester Craft show and what an amazing time we all had. I met so many lovely people whilst I was there, it was great to introduce so many people to “Crystal Art” and show them how the concept worked. It was fabulous to spend time with Dino, Gary and Craig Laird from Craft Buddy, Lynette Jasper from Pretty Gets Gritty and Naomi Hanlon who is on Dawn Bibby’s design team and get to know them better. We had a wonderful meal out while we were there.
For this times blog, I thought I would tell you all about one of favourite products EVER, the brooch frames. They come in a kit of 80 assorted frames (10 designs, 8 of each) with various shapes and sizes of pearl and rhinestone centres that you can use your hot glue gun to attach to the centre or of course your own choice of glue. They are so versatile and I have used them in so many different projects. You can make jewellery, decorate wreaths, cards, adorn candles and home decor. You can colour the centres to match any of your projects too.
Here are what I made using them:
1. Candle – I chose my brooch frames and attached the correct size of pearls to the centre. I then glued the frames to the candle.
2. Earrings and bracelet – I chose the brooch frames and attached the correct size of pearls to the centre, I then connected the frames together using jump rings and various jewellery findings.
3. Wreaths – I made the wreaths using various embellishments. For the reindeer wreath, I coloured the rhinestone centres with alcohol markers. I then glued them into the brooch centres. I attached to the wreaths with a hot glue gun.
4. Card – I made up the card and then coloured the rhinestones with an alcohol marker and then glued them to the centre of my brooch frames.
