Sara’s Winter Wonderland Signature Collection Card by Nick Roberts

Hi Crafters and Friends. I am here with you today with a taste of the brand new Collection from Sara Davies. Winter Wonderland is a most beautiful collection, full of coordinating goodies, from Specialty Cardstock, Stunning Dies, Embossing Folders and all the extras too. It also contains the expected 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 paper pads, jam packed with amazing designs. With this collection, you will definitely have everything you need to create your own special Christmas Cards.
For the card I have made for you today, I have also used the intricate foil transfers with the coordinating foil. It’s the first time I have used these, I have to say I was over the moon with the results and professional finish. I would highly recommend them and the process is so easy.

You will need:

From the Winter Wonderland Collection:
  • Luxury Glitter Card (Winter Blue)
  • Fluttering Snowflakes 5 x 7 Embossing Folder
  • Dendritic Crystals Metal Die
  • Seasonal Sprigs Die Collection
  • 6 x 6 Foil Transfers
  • Winter Wonderland Foil Rolls

Also needed:
  • Centura Pearl White Hint of Silver
  • Sheena Stamping Card
  • Foam Tape or Pads
  • Collall 3D Glue Gel
  • Collall Tacky Glue
  • Sue Wilson Stitched Octagon Die Collection
  • Sue Wilson Lavish Accented Octagon Die Collection

Top Tip: Gut all of your card, where possible, especially the specialty card from the collection, it’s precious.

Step 1: Start by cutting your Card Base Elements. Here I have used the Second and Fourth Detail Octagons from Sheena Stamping Card, the corresponding corresponding layers and frames were then cut using the Winter Blue Glitter Card.

Step 2: Cut a 7 1/2” Square of Glitter card, use the centre of this for one of your octagons. Cut a 7 1/4” square in white, you can use the centre of this to cut your Dendritic Crystal die. Then emboss with the folder.

Step 3: Secure these together and layer onto card base measuring 8 x 8, created with Centura Pearl.

Step 4: Next, add your foil transfer to your smaller centre section, here I have used the wreath design with a separate sentiment.

Step 5: Using Tacky glue secure your snowflake design behind your frame (See Photo).

Step 6: Layer your Largest Octagon onto the Winter Blue glitter card, to highlight the design.

Step 7: Secure to your snowflake frame, using 2 mm foam tape or pads for depth, layer this onto your glitter card with a little additional 3D Glue gel.

Step 8: Layer your second (smaller) Octagon onto glitter card. Secure this section to your card.

Step 9: Secure this section to your base card, again use foam tape for additional depth.
