3D Tiger ‘Crystal Art Stamps’ Card by Sharon Holden

Hi everyone, I can’t believe we are now at the beginning of June! Where has the time gone this year? Hopefully the nice warm weather is now here to stay and we can enjoy some long summer days in the garden.  I thought I would do my blog this time on an amazing new concept brought to you by Craft Buddy, it is called “Crystal Art Stamps”. There are various designs to choose from: Flowers, Mandalas, Dragonflies and Butterflies or Animals. I have chosen to use the Tiger “Crystal Art Stamp”. Here is my step by step on how to create this beautiful 3d decoupage card.
You will need these products:
  • “Tiger” crystal art stamp
  • “Just for you” crystal art stamp
  • A5 card base
  • Black and gold Craft Buddy Christmas handmade papers
  • Pearl card
  • Gold mirri card
  • Black card
  • Carved pumpkin distress ink
  • Black soot distress oxide
  • Stamping card
  • Memento ink in tuxedo black
  • 4mm and 3mm gems in chosen colours
  • Dawn Bibby moonshine pen in terracotta
  • Dawn Bibby quick stick glue
  • Glue Gel
 1. Start by doing random patterns on your pearl card using the carved pumpkin and black soot inks. Go over the top with your blending tool until you have a completely blended background.

2. Add a piece of the handmade paper to the left side of the card.

3. Matt and layer gold mirri and black card and add to the top centre of the card.
4. Stamp your tiger onto a piece of white stamping card four times, also stamp the “just for you” once and the small flower stamp six times.

5. Start by cutting the tiger out and stick to the centre of the matt, also matt and layer the sentiment.

6. Start by adding the gems to the numbered circles, the size of the circle also depicts what size gem to put in it, i.e, the 3 on the tiger is for black gems in sizes 4mm (tigers eyes) and 3mm for the other 3’s, number 2 I used clear gems coloured with the terracotta moonshine pen and for number 1 I used clear gems. When you have finished the tigers face decide whether you want to leave like that or whether to decoupage up in layer.

7. Cut out the small stamped flowers and add gems

8. Add them to the corners of the matt and also the right hand corners of the card.

9. Then layer the rest of the card up, I used four layers in total adding depth and dimension to the card and of course extra sparkle.
