Dawn Bibby Flower Stamps and Stencils Card by Sharon Holden

Hello and welcome to my first “step by step” blog. I thought as summer was fast approaching, I would use my love of colour and flowers and combine them in a card. This card is suitable for any occasion and can be adapted in many ways just using different colours and elements. The majority of products I have used are from Dawn Bibby’s collection and Craft Buddy. Hope you like.

To make this card you will need:
  • Dawn Bibby Daisy Desire Stamp
  • Dawn Bibby Oval Layering Dies
  • Dawn Bibby Daisy Desire Stencil
  • Dawn Bibby Glitter Leaves
  • Pearl Shimmer Card, Copper Mirri, Purple Card
  • Glue/glue gel
  • Dawn Bibby Metal Embellishments
  • Alcohol markers in blue/pink
  • Dawn Bibby Embossing Tool kit/mat
  • Gems
  • Die cutting machine
  • Distress Oxides – broken china, wilted violet, fired brick, twisted citron and fossilized amber
  • Memento Ink Pad
1. Blend all of the distress oxides colours onto 3 A4 sheets of card (I tend to then half the card so I’m only working on A5 sized sheets)

2. Run your stencil through your die cutting machine on one of the inked sheets and also on a piece of the copper mirri card. Fold an A4 sheet of card into half and cover in purple card and then add the copper mirri and embossed inked matt.

3. Use the 3 largest oval layering dies, cut the middle sized oval out of the inked card, the largest oval out of copper mirri and the smallest out of the embossed mirri. Matt them up and add to top left corner of the card.

4. Stamp the three different sizes of flowers onto another inked piece of card. I tend to stamp more than I need just in case, they can always be saved for a later date.
5. Cut the flowers out and emboss them using a ball point embossing tool and mat, layer them up in sets of three, glue each layer and alternate the petals to give it a fuller and more natural look. Add a gem into the centre using glue gel.

6. Add the flowers to the bottom of the oval using glue gel.
7. Snip some of the glitter leaves off the stems and add under the flowers using glue gel.
8. Add gems to the corners of the card.
9. Take two dragonfly metal embellishments and colour them using alcohol markers. Stick them onto the embossed oval using glue gel.

10. Stamp a sentiment onto some of the inked card and then matt and layer onto copper mirri and purple card. Add onto the oval offset to the left.

Hope you have liked this step by step, would love to know what you think.
