Sara’s Rustic Wedding Signature Collection Launch by Nick Roberts

Oh Wow! Sara is launching her brand new Signature Collection Monday 9th April at 6pm. What an amazing show we have to look forward to. The ‘Rustic Wedding’ Collection is full of the most amazing elements to create all manner of cards, scrapbook pages, home decor, along with a multitude of other projects. The embellishments include ribbons, buttons, lace and twine. The quality is outstanding! Also included is a marvelous collection of beautiful dies, stamps and embossing folders. The designs in the 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 paper pads are stunning and as a special treat, there are extra special pads too.
If you are hosting a wedding or need to make stationery for one, this collection has it all, from wedding invitations, Save the Dates, Thanks You’s, Table Decorations, you name it.
It is worth knowing though that all of the elements can be used to create a plethora of cards and projects to suit all occasions, so pleased don’t just think weddings, because this collection is so much more.
I don’t want to spoil the surprise for you, but hold onto your seat as I am sure it’s going to be a fast ride Monday evening at 6 pm and 8 pm. I know when my collection arrived, I was taken back by every item that I unpacked. So here I have shared a sneaky tutorial and card for you, while you wait for the launch.
 Finished Card
You will need:
  • Newly Weds Die Set
  • Faith Die
  • 6 x 6 Rustic Wedding Paper Pad
  • 12 x 12 Rustic Wedding Paper Pad
  • 6 x 6 Self Adhesive Hessian Sheets
  • Rustic Wedding Wooden Button Embellsihments
  • Rustic Wedding Jute Twine Embellishments
  • Kraft Card
  • Matt Black Card
  • Centura Pearl Ivory Base Card
  • Hessian Fabric
  • Twigs (Garden)
  • Flowers (Your Choice, but keep your eyes open for a tutorial coming soon)
  • Raffia
  • Glue Gun
  • Adhesives (Foam Tape, Foam Pads, Tacky Glue, 3D Glue Gel)
Step 1: Cut out ‘Faith’ from Kraft card twice and once from black card. Layer the 2 Kraft die cuts together with tacky glue, then secure the black die cut, slightly offset to create a shadow beneath.
1
Step 2: Cut the ‘Newlyweds’ outer die from Kraft card, then draw around the die onto black card and cut out with scissors. This will create a thin mat, secure with tacky glue.
2
Step 3: Cut a square from the self adhesive hessian pad using a basic square die.
3
Step 4: Cut a square of black card to use as a mat for this, keep the layer very narrow, peel off the backing and secure to the black card.
4
Step 5: Cut a square of paper from the 6 x 6 paper pad (See Photo), using a basic die.
5
Step 6: Layer onto a black card mat as before, again keeping a narrow border.
6
Step 7: Using a craft knife and ruler, cut out the centre from one of the sheets (see Photo) from the 12 x 12 pad. Keep the beautiful borders to use in another project or to decoupage.
7
Step 8: Again layer this onto black card with a narrow border, secure with tacky glue.
8
Step 9: Taking a card base made with Centura Pearl Ivory card, layer your background onto the base with foam tape of pads. Repeat with the square layers to give depth. Offset the hessian square as shown.
9
Step 10: Next add the heart, with your layered word ‘Faith’. Add a button with 3D glue gel after threading it with the Jute twine from the collection.
10
Step 11: To continue the rustic theme, create a bouquet, using flowers, hessian, twigs and tie with raffia before securing to your card with 3D glue gel

  1. Love this rustic feel of your card. The self adhesive hessian is a great idea, the papers can be used for all manner of projects. This project makes me want to buy the whole collection, as I could use all of the elements for lots of different projects.
