Hi everyone. This week I’m making a birthday card using Crafter’s Companion products who are celebrating their 2nd anniversary with Hochanda. Such wonderful products they have bought us crafters over the past two years. These are some of my favourites. I’ve also added lots of gems to my project. You will notice in my projects that I love gems and bling! Never enough sparkle in my craft room!
You will need:
- Crafter’s Companion Chandelier Create A Card Die
- Die-sire Happy Birthday
- 1 x 8×8 card blank.
- Silver mirri card.
- Silver glitter card.
- Black card.
- Purple mirror card
- Black & purple organza ribbon
- Wet glue.
- Hot glue
- 3D foam
- High tack red liner tape
Stage 1: Matt and layer silver glitter card and silver mirri card sticking them to your card.
Stage 2: Die cut the chandelier out of the purple mirri card, taking care to release the very fine die cut from the die.
Stage 3: Cut a piece of black card to fit the chandelier die cut as above.
Stage 4: Carefully, using your paper trimmer, cut off the excess purple mirror card to create a square and carefully apply a small amount of wet glue. Stick the chandelier to the black piece of card. Trim off the excess card with your scissors. Then, stick this using 3D foam to your card.
Stage 5: Die cut your happy birthday die once in silver and once in purple and stick one on top of the other slightly below and to the side to create a drop shadow effect. Apply to your card.
Stage 6: Using your red liner tape, create two lines and stick your ribbon to your card as shown in the picture. Using a strand of each tie a bow and apply to your card using hot glue. I’ve stuck a gem in the middle of the bow just to add a bit of bling.
Stage 7: Apply your gems as extra embellishment.
